BRITAIN’S FORTUNES

PEACEFUL RESTORATION TRIBUTE TO CONSTITUTION LONDON, September 19. The dangers of dictatorships will be discussed at the Conservative Conference on October 4. The report of the Central Council claims that strife, bloodshed, and foreign dictatorships are thrown into vivid prominence by the peaceful restoration of Britain’s fortunes, and is the greatest tribute! to the British system of constitutional government. The conference will consider a motion suggesting the formation of a league for preserving the Constitution from dictatorship. Viscount Wolmer is tabling a resolution asking the Government immediately to re-form the House of Lords in order to rescue the Constitution from its present dangerous position.
