THIRD RACE POSTPONED NOT SUFFICIENT WIND (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) NEWPORT, September 19. The third race for the America’s Cup was postponed owing to lack of wind. PRESIDENT AS SPECTATOR (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, September lit. President Roosevelt, who has been a keen and expert spectator of both events in the America’s Cup, said he had never seen two closer or better sailed races in any cup scries. He,will also watch the third race, but will then have to return to his summer residence. The third contest, will bo over a windward and leeward course. I Tiie weather forecast is for moderate north and north-west winds, with clouds. Nowhere does the news of Endeavour’s two successes give greater satisfaction than among the yacht building community of Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight. The work people of Comper and Nicholson’s at Gosport, who built the Endeavour, assembled there to hear the broadcast commentaries on both races, and large crowds gather in those towns to wait for the results. A NOVA SCOTIAN CHALLENGE QUEBEC, September 19. Captain Angus Walters, of the Bluenose, the unbeaten champion of Nova Scotia fishing banks, declared his readiness to race either the Endeavour or the Rainbow for the America’s Cup.
