ALLEGED “ RINGING-IN ” A TRAINER ARRESTED (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) SYDNEY, September-11. Investigations lasting several weeks have resulted in a man named J, H. O’Connor, trainer of the racehorse Comedy Jim, being arrested and Comedy Jim seized by the police. The Northern Rivers Racing Association and the police allege that Comedy Jim was raced at Grafton and Casino, where he won races, and that the gelding is identical with a horse called won races in country towns of New South Wales. Prior to O’Connor’s arrest at Toowoomba, Queensland, the Northern Rivers Racing Association disqualified him and Comedy Jim for life.
