TRANSFER OF GOLD
SAN FRANCISCO TO DENVER ENORMOUS ACCUMULATION SAN FRANCISCO, August 30. (Received August 30, at 10.30 p.m.) , The transfer of an enormous accumulation of gold, presumably somewhere between 1,500,000,000 and 2,250,000,000 'dollars’ worth, from the San Francisco mint to the Denver mint, under an unusually heavy guard and extreme precaution, was started to-night.
