A WIDOW’S CLAIM
£1425 DAMAGES AWARDED .■. -'(Pui'Okoto.Pwbs Asmcution.) , . CHRISICHUKCH, August 28. Damage* amounting to £1425 were awarded Mary Helen Broms by a special jury in the Supreme Court .to-day. The plaintiff’s busbarid, JiTaicipb William Broms, who was employed by the Daria Gelatine (New Zealand), Ltd., was killed in an accident at the company 9 * factory in Woolston last December. .The plaintiff sought £2OOO damages on behalf of herself and her three children from the company. The jury found that the defendant company had been, guilty pl negligence : and that the - plaintiff s husband had not been guilty of contributory negligence.
