A man at Warminster, Wiltshire, claims the railway season-ticket holders’ record after spending a whole day travelling to and from Warminster and Bristol. During the day’s test the man snatched hurried meals at platform buffets between trains- He kept a log and it showed that he travelled 360 miles for Is 6d—or 20 miles a penny!
