A CYCLIST INJURED Owen Johns, aged 13, who lives with his parents at 11 Grange street, was admitted to the Hospital yesterday afternoon with a fractured bone in his right leg. He received the injury when his foot slipped from the pedal of the bicycle he was riding and became wedged between the wheel and the frame of the machine. WOMAN SKIER INJURED (Peb United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, July 29. Miss Dorothy Wilkins, one of the skiers who had intended to compete in the Grand National ski championships at Mount Cook this week, injured her ankle while ski-ing on the Ball Pass to-day and had to be helped down the pass to the Ball Hut by relays of men skiers from an altitude of about 5000 feet. For a part of the difficult journey Miss Wilkins had to be carried. A SUDDEN COLLAPSE (Per United Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, July 29. The sudden death occurred last night of Robert M’Combe, a married man, aged 43 years, who collapsed on leaving a social function in the Georgetown Hall. He had been employed on the staff of the Southland Times as a linotype operator for the past 23 years.
