APPEAL AGAINST REDUCED DUTIES. (I't« United Press Association.) WELLINGTON,.JuIy 26. An appeal against the reduction in (he duty on confectionery by 74 per cent, and on biscuits by 5 per cent, was made (o the Minister of Customs (Mr J. G. Contes) by the New Zealand Bisciit, Chocolate, and Confectionery Manufacturers’ Federation to-day. Mr Coates promised consideration of the represents ilons.
