The following were the best scores at' the weekly shoot of the Kurow Miniature" Rifle Club:—C. Kemp 79, L. Worthington 78, E. N. Christiansou 78, F. Welsh 78; S. Cuthbertson 77, E. S. Wills, J. Marsh 77, T. Lambertson 76. W. B. Appleby 76, L. M'Kinnon 76, H. Petterson 75, S. Marsh 75, I. York 75, J. Brocket 75, L. Brunton 75, G. W. Cogger 74, R. H. Appleby, jun.. 74, F. Todd 73, D. Small 73, T. Sanders 72, R. Greer 72, G. Donald 72, B. U. Stranger 70. C. Kemp won the button off the rifle, and in the shoot-off for the handicap button H. Petterson was the winner. The junior division of the Upper W a i" taki branch of the Women's Division of New Zealand Farmers' Union held its first birthday in the Presbyterian Hall. The president (Miss I. Cairns) occupied the chair. Among those present were:— Mesdames Adams (president, senior division), Jackson (secretary), also Messrs Gawn and Gillies. Mrs Adams spoke on behalf of the senior division, wishing the, juniors every success for the coming year. After some very enjoyable games had been played, supper was served. The birthday cake, given by Miss I. Cairns (the candle of which was lit by the past president, Miss B. Cairns), was cut by Mrs Adams. The following is the Kurow football team for to-morrow:—D.
