GIRL’S PAINFUL INJURY

May, Munro, aged 16, daughter, of D. J, Munro, a farmer, had half her scalp tom off while assisting in:a milking abed this morning. V Her . hair caught in the belting of the milking 1 plant. : Medical aid was sent for, - and - the . girl removed to the hospital, where the scalp was stitched on again. Her .condition i« considered satisfactory. MOTOR MECHANIC BURNED , (Peb Unixed Press Association.) MARION, June 20. An unusual accident, resulting in minor damage to a car, occurred at the White Hart garage this morning, when a.vehicla left over a pit all night was receiving attention. Apparently the caTfies fused, resulting in an explosion of gases and the ignition of benzine on the floor of the pit. A mechanic, Jack Stevens, was extensively scorched, and is suffering from shock. Dense clouds of smoke issued from the building, and the fire brigade was summoned, but no. damage was done, INJURIES TO HEAD Sidney Hastie, aged 28 years, was admitted to the Hospital last evening suffering. from injuries to his bead and shock caused through being_ struck by a motor car when riding a bicycle,at the corner, of George street and Pine Hill terrace. He resides at 19 Gladstone road.
