CONFERENCE OF INSPECTORS.

WELLINGTON, June 19.

The wide range of questions concerning traffic control is being discussed at a Dominion conference of traffic officers which opened to-day'under the auspices of the Transport Department. This is the first occasion on which traffic officers in both islands have met in formal conference, and the Transport’ Department welcomes the opportunity of hearing the views on traffic problems of men actually engaged in administering the law. The morning business was chiefly confined to a discussion of the proposed amendments' to. the traffic regulations. In the afternoon the delegates inspected the break-testing apparatus and the traffic control measures at other. points of the system of supervision employed by the City Council.
