SUNDAY SERVICES
Anniversary services will be held in Knox Church, when the Rev. Llewellyn Williams, of Chalmers Church, Timaru, will be the preacher. A retiring offering will be received for debt reduction. The Rev. W. Allen Stevely will conduct both services at First Church to-morrow. The morning subject will be " Saved to Serve " and the evening " Towards Dawn." Dr V. E. Galway will be the organist. , In the Theosophical Hall there will be a lantern lecture on the headquarters of the society by Mr J. M. M'Ewan. The Rev. E. S. TuckwelL will conduct both services at the Hanover Street Baptist Church. The evening subject will be " Frustrating the Purposes of God." The anthem will be " O Father, by Whose Almighty Power." Sister Lingwood-Smith will speak at the Spiritualist Church to-morrow evening ou "Modern Spiritualism and the Bible," and will give personal spiritual messages after the address. She will also present the prizes at the Lyceum in the afternoon. First Church of Christ Scientist will conduct services in Allbell Chambers, 154 Stuart street, to-morrow. The subject for the morning and evening services will be " God the Only Cause and Creator." To-morrow will be observed as Missionary Sunday at the Maori Hill Presbyterian Church; The services will be conducted by the Rev. A. C. W. Standage, and Mr W. Paget Gale will be at the organ. The Rev. Albert Mead will conduct the services at the Moray Place Congregational Church. The addresses morning and evening respectively will be on " The Message of the Acts of the Apostles" and "How to Enjoy the Bible." Miss Phyllis Clare will sing "The Perfect Prayer" at the evening service. Mozart's "Twelfth Mass" will be rendered by the choir, commencing at 8 p.m. Youth Sunday will be observed at Trinity Methodist Church to-morrow. Bible class members will conduct the morning service, Mr S. Waite being the preacher and the Bible class choir rendering appropriate music. In the evening the Rev. C. H. Olds will take as his subject " The Boomerang." Mrs W. J. White will sing "God Give You Joy." The anthem will be "The Sun Shall Be No More."
The services at the Methodist Central Mission to-morrow will be conducted in the morning by Mr lan Dickson, of Knox College, and at 6.30 p.m. by the Rev. L. B. Neale, whose subject will be "Acrophobia." The soloist will be Mr Roland Dunbar. Youth Sunday services will be observed.
