VINCENT HOSPITAL BOARD

MONTHLY MEETING The monthly meeting of the Vincent Hospital Board was held at the Dunstau Hospital, Clyde, on Wednesday, there beiug present Messrs J. Ritchie (chairman), S. A. Stevens, C. Weaver, W. Bringaus, S. T. Spain. J. M'Knight, D. S. Middleton, and G T. Alexander The inspector of health, Alexandra, forwarded the results of the analysis of milk taken from the cows supplying the Crom wel I Hosp ita I. —Rece i ved. The Otago Hospital Board advised that one Viucent district patient bad been discharged from the Duuedin Hospital, aud forwarded au account of £3 12s due for maintenance, and also notified the admission of another four patients to the institution.-—Received. The Waipiata Sanatorium Committee advised that authority had been given to the medical superintendent (Dr Kidd) to visit the board's district every quarter, and he would be at the Dunstan Hospital from 11 a.m. to 12.30 p.m., and at the Cromwell Hospital from 1.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. on the second Tuesday in the months of May, August. November, and February each year.- -Noted. The solicitors to the Waipiata Sanatorium Committee forwarded for signature by the board on agreement between the associated boards and the committee t'or a further term of 10 years to December 5, 1034,'in respect of the Waipiata Sanatorium. The common seal of tlie board was affixed to the agreement, and was attested by Messrs Ritchie and Alexander.

The confirming resolution in respect of the bonrd's loan of £4OOO with the Public Trust Olliee was passed. The matron, Duustan Hospital, reported that diiHua April 13 patieuls were admitted. 13 .were discharged, one had died, and 12 were in hospital at the end of the month. The report was adopted, and certain repairs were authorised to be carried out. The matron. Cromwell Hospital, reported that 16 patients were admitted in April, 16 were discharged, and 13 remained on Anril 30. The report was adopted and the purchase of n new structure for the boiler was approved. Accounts and salaries totalling £1024 lis Id Mere passed for payment.
