GOLD BARS DISAPPEAR
APPARENTLY STOLEN ON TRAIN
FIFTY PEOPLE ARRESTED. - . CALCUTTA, May 11. (Received' May 11, at 9 p.m. ) A consignment of gold bars valued at nearly £BSOO mysteriously disappeared while in transit from Amritzar to Bombay by frontier maiF train ; yesterday. ■ Indian bankers at Amritsar consigned the gold to : the firm’s Bombay office. ' Fifty arrests hive been made, including two train guards, a parcels clerk, and a ticket collector.
