INDICATIONS TO MOTORISTS SUGGESTED USE OF ’’HOSPITAL BLUE.” (Peb United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, May 11. At the meeting of the South Island Motor Union the Otago Motor Club wrote stating that the Dunedin City Council bad experimented with blue lights in the hospital block. These had been a pronounced success, and the foli lowing remit was submitted for the j quarterly meeting of delegates:—‘‘That blue lights be used exclusively for hospitals.” j Mr W. R. Carey: I have travelled over the North and the South Island by car recently, and big lorries travelling at night are becoming a menace. They carry largo, overhanging loads, and it is most difficult to pass them. A motorist is entitled to know what ho is meeting, and those lorries should be made to carry a distinguishing light on the top of the cab. The secretary: Representations have already been made to the Commissioner of Transport. It was decided to forward the Otago I Club’s remit to the quarterly meeting cf delegates.
