Rumours of an attempt to assassinate General Goeriug arose when an eggshaped hand grenade was thrown in Unter Den Linden into a taxi cab occupied by an Austrian Jew named David Oliver, the owner of a chain of kincmas, including the Capital, where the Bergucr film was banned on March 9. The chauffeur was severely injured, but Oliver was almost unscratched. The car was wrecked. AUTHORITIES OFFER REWARD. BERLIN, March 22. (Received March 22, at 11.55 p.m.)_ The authorities offer a reward of £350 for information concerning the bomb outrage.
