THE WEATHER
Fine weather, with a light north-east breeze, prevailed yesterday. The conditions were sunny in the morning, but there was considerable passing cloud in the afternoon* The maximum tempera; ture was 62 degrees. REPORTS FROM THE NORTH. (Special to Uailt Times.) AUCKLAND, March 22. Overcast weather prevailed this morning and light rain commenced falling about mid-day. The conditions improved during the afternoon, and there were occasional periods of sunshine. There was a light southerly breeze. The barometer remained high, but was falling this evening. WELLINGTON. March 22. The weather to-day was warm and fine. The wind i was northerly and very light in the morning, but freshened slightly in the afternoon. The maximum temperature was 70.4 degrees. CHRISTCHURCH, March 22. The weather was warm and pleasant though cloudy in Christchurch to-day. A light north-east wind was blowing. The barometer fell slightly and registered 30.25 inches at 5 p.m.
