MEETING; OF ASSOCIATION The monthly meeting of 'the; Roslyn and Kaikorai Ratepayers' Association was held last night, the chairman (Mr P. L. Ritchie) presiding. / There were also present Messrs A. Ellis, W, J..8e11, A. J. Allen, W. Sinclair, C. Fradlay, G. T. Dennis, and A. D. ' . ■'■:.- The secretary was requested to ask tne City Council to cut the Jong grass add weeds in Ellis Park children. playing area and to ask that a new diving board be provided for the baths, the oneln rise for the last 20 years being out of repair and dangerous. # , The matter of regradmg and widening the Kaikorai Valley road was discussed at some length and it was decided to send a deputation of two members of the association in conjunction with two members of the Otago Motor Club to wait on the City Council with a view to ascertabling whether it would undertake the carrying out of this long-looked-for imDrovement. ■ .. * It was reported that the City Council had acquired a large section of land adjoining Dean street and County road for the purposes of a children's playing area. The council would commence to fill this in at an early date.
