FIRE IN AUCKLAND

DAMAGE ESTIMATED AT £IOOO (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, February 22. Damage estimated at £IOOO was caused by a fire in the premises of Messrs a. V. Wallace and Co., fibrous plaster manufacturers, of Buchanan street, Eden terrace, about 7 o'clock this morning. Hie damage to the building was roughly assessed at £4OO, and tliat to the plant and material at £6OO. .The building was insured for £IOOO with the Standard Office, and the plant and material tor £l2oo'in the same office.
