PUBLIC QUESTIONS
MEETING OF CABINET NO DECISIONS YET REACHED (Fes United Pbess Association.) WELLINGTON, January 17. Consideration to several important questions on which decisions are being awaited was given by Cabinet to-day, but when interviewed the Prime Minister (Mr G. W. Forbes) stated he was not yet in a position to make anything public, Mr Forbes said that discussions had taken place regarding the personnel of the commission which is to investigate the administration of Native Affairs and also of the committee which is to hold an inquiry into the monetary system of \ the Dominion, but finality had not yet been reached on all points. He expected to be able to make an announcement shortly. The Prime Minister, asked if a successor to Mr Justice Adams had been appointed yet, replied that it was expected the appointment would be announced wihin the next few days.
