SPANISH DESPERADOES
ESCAPE FROM PRISON UNDERGROUND PASSAGE DUG, BARCELONA, December 13. Digging an underground passage, 48 desperadoes, including gangsters and murderers, escaped from solitary confinement. They reached the town sewers. Thirty-two were rearrested, and the police are searching the sewers for the remainder.
