WORLD’S RECORD ESTABLISHED FASTER THAN THE BREMEN. LONDON, November 20. H.M.S. Achilles established a world’s speed record for a warship of her class, covering 1100 nautical miles from Gibraltar to Portland in 39 hours, equivalent to 29 knots. The Achilles proved faster than the German liner Bremen, the holder of the Atlantic Blue Riband.
