MOTOR TYRE STOLEN

YOUTH SENT TO PRISON (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, November 2. Impugned by the probation officer as not worth another chance, Neville Eric Watkins, aged 21, a salesman, was to-day sentenced by Mr E. Page, S.M., to six months’ imprisonment for the theft of a motor tyre. Another charge had relation to the conversion of a motor cycle, and in regard to this the police said 1 that Watkins had approached one Lucchcsi, representing himself as a prospective buyer, and was given permission to ride the machine round the block. He rode it to Levin, however, and returned it only after police inquiries were started. On this and another charge he was ordered to come up for sentence if called on within two years.
