THE WEATHER
Perfect weather prevailed yesterday, the sun shining from/a clear sky. A light north-east wind was blowing. The barometer was fairly steady and registered 30.30 last evening. REPORTS FROM NORTHERN CENTRES. (Special to Daily Times.) AUCKLAND, November 1. A light north-east, wind and cloudy, threatening weather prevailed to-day, frequent light showers being experienced during the morning. The barometer rose to 30.30 in at mid-day but fell slightly afterwards. WELLINGTON, November 1. The weather gradually became overcast during the morning, and a few drops of rain fell. The wind was light from between north-east and north. The maximum temperature during the day was 59.5. CHRISTCHURCH, November 1. The day was again beautifully fine in Christchurch. A fresh easterly breeze was blowing. The barometer fell, slightly, and registered 30.20 this evening.
