MANAWATU SHOW
■ X . ) EXCELLENT ENTRIES FORWARD (Peb United Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., November 1. The forty-eighth spring show of the Manawatu-West Coast A. and P. Association was. opened in showery weather and will extend over three days. There are excellent entries totalling 4823, the exhibits being particularly plentiful in the live stock and schools’ classes. The support has been well maintained in comparison with the 1931 show, last 'year’s exhibition being the Royal fixture. The Manawatu Kennel Club's show is bein(j held in conjunction with the Agricultural and Pastoral Association’s fixture. Most of the stock awards will be made tomorrow. The following championships were awarded in the pig section:— Berkshires.—Boar and reserve, Cheltenham Coop. Dairy Company; sow, Feilding Agricultural High School; reserve, H. E. Fieldhonse, Rongotea.
Tamworths. —Boar, A. T. Rogers, Ngaruawahia; reserve, H. E. Fieldhouse; sow and reserve, A. T. Rogers. Large Whites.-—Boar and reserve, Feilding Agricultural High School; sow and reserve, Reg. Webb (Newbury). Large Blacks. —Boar and reserve, sow and reserve, G. M. Whitelock (Newbury).
