MASS MARRIAGES

ITALIAN COUPLES NEARLY THREE THOUSAND. ROME, October 30. A previous message read; —Outdoing the German mass marriages of last July, the Fascists, who are alarmed at the continual decline in the birth rate, have organised a festival of marriage, in which 2000 couples are being wed at dawn, afterwards attending mass, then holding a procession through the city streets.
