CRUISER DIOMEDE IN PORT H.M.S. Diomede, which is making an extended visit to southern ports, arrived at Dunedin at 9.45 a.m. yesterday from Akaroa, and was berthed at the Rattray street wharf. ' Since the cruiser was associated with the Australian warships Canberra and Australia and the flagship Dunedin in manoeuvres in Cook Strait on September 27, she has visited Nelson, Queen Charlotte Sound, Lyttelton, and Akaroa. She will remain at Dunedin until Saturday evening, when she will sail for Auckland direct. He was, for a time, flight captain with a cruiser squadron in the Mediterranean, and wag promoted to captain in June, 1930. Official calls were made yesterday morning, when Captain Graham received Messrs H. C. Campbell (chairman) and J. Renton (secretary) of the HarbourBoard, and the harbour master (Captain J. Mac Lean).
