CONGREGATIONAL MEN’S LEAGUE
The final meeting for the year of the Otago Congregational Men’s League was held in the Orange Hall, Leith street, on Monday evening. There was a good attendance of members, and the president (Mr W. R. Sinclair) occupied the chair. The speaker for the evening was Professor T. D. Adams, who gave an illustrated talk on “ Athletics in Ancient Greece.” After an interesting and instructive address, Professor Adams was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. Community singing was held, and items were contributed by Mr G. Dyer (song) and the Rev, James Smeeth (violin solo). Supper was handed round, and the meeting was concluded with a vote of thanks to the chair. ‘
