(Received Sept. 24, at 8 p.m.) In the News of the World golf tournament Allies beat Seymour, 5 and 4, and becomes unofficial match play champion. Alliss, thanks to winning three holes in a row in the first nine, was 1 up at the eighteenth, taking 71 against 74. Seymour went into, the lead at the twenty-second, but. lost the next three as a result of weakness with his woods, with which Alliss was generally superior.
