RUGBY, September 19. (Received Sept. 20, at 5.5 p.m.)

The latest Treasury returns show that the ordinary revenue for the current financial year, up to September 16, amounted to £257,692,185. At the corresponding date last year the amount stood at £253,899,990. The ordinary expenditure to date for the current year totalled £307,385,272, which is more than £32,000,000 less than the total of ordinary expenditure at the corresponding date of last year.
