GERMAN FIRE TRIAL
EVERYTHING IN READINESS
LIKELY TO LAST THREE WEEKS.
BERLIN, September 19. Everything is in readiness at Leipzig for the Reichstag building fire trial. Scores of armed police form a cordon around the building, confining admittance to holders of permits, all of whom will be searched for arms. Only a few press photographers will be permitted to be present. Intrusive aeroplanes will be shot down. A few seats will be available to the public. The trial is expected to last three weeks. In the last fortnight the proceedings will be at Berlin. The witnesses number hundreds.
