HIGH PRICES IN LONDON

LONDON, September 19. (Received Sept. 2a, at 5.5 p.m.) A valuable piece of propaganda for Apstralian lamb was achieved by che South Australian Trade Commissioner (Mr M'Cann), who displayed at Portsmouth, in the presence of 400 master butchers, who were holding a conference there, the first arrivals of the new season’s South Australian lambs entered for the Cooper Cup competition. They sold at 7}d per lb, which is well above the ruling price, and the highest figure Australia has obtained for a long period.
