THE WEATHER
A moderate north-east wind and fine sunny weather prevailed in Dunedin yesterday. The maximum temperature was 50 degrees. The barometer, after falling from 29.70 to 29.50, had a rising tendency last evening. A fog descended over the city and harbour in the evenbut later cleared away.
CONDITIONS IN THE NORTH. (Special to Daily Times.) AUCKLAND, September 20.> A light northerly wind and cloudy and unsettled weather prevailed to-day, light rain being experienced during the afternoon. The barometer, which is falling, registers 30.00 in. WELLINGTON, September 20. Light rain showers and a fairly heavy northerly wind were experienced to-day. Temperatures wore mild. CHRISTCHURCH, September 20. The maximum temperature to-day was 73 degrees, the highest recorded so far this spring. The day was sunny with a light north-east breeze until late this afternoon, when the wind changed to a moderate westerly and the sky clouded over. The barometer fell slightly during the day, the reading at 5 p.m. being 29.51 in.
