THE JAPANESE POLICY NO TERRITORIAL COLOMBO, September 18. “ Japanese friendship ia stronger than ever, although the alliance was abrogated and trade disputes exist,” declared Count Ishii, when interviewed regarding Japan’s expansion policy. He characterised as simply incomprehensible the fears of Japanese expansion in the direction of the Pacific islands. Japan, ho said, had no territorial ambitions. She merely wanted peaceful business with foreign countries.
