LAME AFTER A GALLOP (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) SYDNEY, September 12. (Received Sept. 12, at 9 p-m.) Peter Pan is being relieved of all his spring engagements and will be spelled indefinitely. He pulled up lame after a working gallop this morning. His withdrawal will have an important bearing on the Melbourne Cup, although most racing people anticipated that all was not well with the champion. . Silver Scorn is now very fit and is expected to justify his New Zealand reputation shortly. Autopay is still under a cloud. The New Zealanders Bay Tree, Cottesmore, Korokio, Deputy Ruler, Golden Hair, Ammon Ra. Closing Time, Persian and Safari are all likely to take part in the mid-week meeting at Rosebery tomorrow.
