THE KUROW DISTRICT

(Special to Daily Times.) KUROW, September 6. The annual meeting of the Waitaki Hydro Lawn Tennis Club was held last evening, the attendance of 45 being a record at an annual, meeting since the inception of the club. . Mr A. Sandelin occupied the chair. . The annual report and balance sheet, which showed, the club to be in a sound financial position, were adopted. In his report the secretary (Mr F. Mulligan, jun.) thanked all members of the club, and particularly the committtee, for the support and co-opera-tion during the year. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mr P. S. Geddes; chairman, Mr A. Sandelinsecretary, Mr P. Mulligan, jun.; treasurer, Mr J. Spriggs; committee—Mesdames J. Flanagan, H. Valentine, and H.M'lhtosh, Messrs H. Valentine,. I. Campbell, N. Williams, and J. Spriggs. .■ Five new members were elected. ' October 1 was fixed as the'official opening day of the club.
