SUNDAY SERVICES
The Rev. D. C. Herron will conduct both services in Knox Church to-morrow; the evening subject will be “ Will Ye Also Go Away?” At First Church to-morrow the Rev.. W. Allen Stevely’s subjects will _be "Vision and Service” in the morning. I and “ Sell Your Coat and Buy a Sword' in the, evening. At the later service there will be a combined naval and military parade of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve anjl Artillery Units in Dunedin, under Commander Watson and Colonel Secular respectively. To-morrow will be deaconess’s Sunday at the Methodist Central Mission. The preacher will be the Rev. L. B. Neale. At the evening service Sisters Hazel and Lenna will give an account of their work in this city. Miss Margaret Murray, j of Balclutha}' will be the soloist. Special services _to mark the new church’s second anniversary will be held at the United Congregational Church tomorrow, and will be conducted by the Rev. James Smeeth. In the morning he will speak to the children on “Two Years Ago,” and to the adults on “The Lord’s Presence.” In the evening, when Miss Kathleen Bond will be the soloist, Mr Smeeth’s subject will be “A Mystical Union.” • Communion will be observed at the evening service. The quarterly fellowship and communion service will be conducted in the Hanover Street Baptist Church in the morning. by the Rev. E. S. Tuckwell, his subject I being “ The Supreme Motive.” The evening subject will be “The Best Robe.” and the anthem “ Abide With Me.” Mr J. Simpson will be the soloist. _ Welcome meetings to Captain M. Kilgour who has been appointed assistant officer to the Salvation Army, will be conducted by Adjutant Thomas. In the afternoon the Rev. B. H. Williams, missionary of the African Inland Mission, will speak, the subject being “Penetrating the Pigmy Forests of Africa With the Gospel.” This talk will be "illustrated with lantern slides.- . At the Theosophical Society .Mr MG. Walmsley will give an address on “ Stoner henge and Druidical Teachings.” First Church of Christ Scientist will conduct services in Allbell Chambers, 154 Stuart street, to-morrow. The subject for the morning and evening services will be “ Man.” The usual services will be held at York Place Hall. In the evening Mr H. W. Brohn will speak on “The Brazen Serpent.” . Divine worship will be held in the Congregational Church, Moray place, to-mor-row, and' both services will be conducted by the Rev. Albert Mead. The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper will be observed after the morning service. In the evening the sermon will be on “ Slave Emancipation—a' Christian Achievement.” At that service Miss Estelle Burnard will sing “ 0 Glad Awakening,” and the choir will render “ Dens misereatur,” by Edward Bunnett. The morning topic will be “ Flowers and Birds—a Springtime Message.” The Rev. F. E. Foot will conduct the morning service at Trinity Methodist Church, Stuart street, to-morrow. In the evening the Rev. 11. E. Bellhouse will be the preacher, taking as his subject, “ Boastful Claim Examined.” The choir will render Gounod’s anthem. “There is a Green Hill.” and Miss Phyllis West will be the soloist. Communion will be celebrated at the close.
