PRICES HARDENING MR DEVEREUX'S REPORT (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, July 2. Mr W, P. Dcvercux (Australian woolgrowers’ representative) reports: “Wool prices are keeping very firm in all centres. Substantial advances are expected at the opening sales on July 4. Only a moderate quantity of merino is available. The Bradford market is buoyant. Some topmakers have withdrawn their merino quotations pending thp London opening, and others are asking higher rates. Prices have hardened in all sections, including the whole range of crossbreds. The Continental markets are firm and hardening. . It is understood that nothing definite has emerged from the Australian-New Zealand discussions on the Blue Star Line. General freight discussions are being continued.”
