SNAKE IN CAR

A REMARKABLE MISHAP NEW YORK, June IS. With one arm swollen to twice Hs normal size. Mrs George Zimmerman, aged 30, is now under care in a hospital at Lebanon, Indiana, after an amazing adventure with a snake. Mrs Zimmerman was driving a motor car alone, with her left elbow resting on the window sill. The rear wheel flung a three-foot snake into the car, and the reptile sank its fangs in below her elbow. Remaining calm, Mrs Zimmerman drove the car to the side of the road, removed the writhing snake from her arm, and threw it out of the window. Then she improvised a tourniquet, using her handkerchief and fountain pen, and drove to hospital. She is recovering.
