THE WORLD ECONOMIC CONFERENCE

A CALL TO. PRAYER Many, people in our midst are convinced that there can he no great success in the measures adopted by the Economic Conference without a change of heart in many quarters. Only, they hold, as the spirit of man reacts to eternal truth can there be harmony and co-operation.. In this conviction, a call to prayer is being issued by the Public Questions Committee of the Dunedin Presbytery that men of goodwill and faith may unite in bringing to bear tho mighty resources of the infinite Cod upon the distracted lives of men. In the belief that prayer should be offered for the representatives of the nations and for the nations that mutual trust and goodwill may prevail, that justice and mercy may be established among the nations, the following form of prayer is suggested:— Eternal Cod. wonderful in counsel, excellent in wisdom, we pray for the representatives of the nations who have been called to the difficult task of laying anew the foundations of international welfare. Inspire their minds, enlarge their vision, direct their councils, that humble and wise, fearless and unfaltering, they may achieve good success in the adoption of measures fruitful of much good to all.
