(From Our Own Correspondent.) BALCLUTHA, June 30. SCHOOL FOOTBALL. The South Otago High School yesterday defeated the Otago Boys’ High School Third Grade team by ,43 points to 3 points. PERSONAL. ■ Mrs Thomas Smith, who died at North Balelutha on Wednesday morning at the advanced age of 91 years, was born at Kirkcudbright, Scotland, , and came to New Zealand in the ship Ben Lomond in 1852. She had been a resident of Balclutha : since 1878, her husband predeceasing her by over 20 years. She is survived by one daughter (Mrs James Taylor, of Kaka Point).
