THE PROPOSED WAGE CUT REJECTED BY EMPLOYEES. OTTAWA, June 29. The executive of the five Canadian railway brotherhoods to-day called for a strike ballot following the'collapse of negotiations with representatives of the management of the railways. ‘ • The railwaymen refused to accept a 20 per cent. w»age cut, but were willing to accept 10 per cent. The Minister of Labour presided over the negotiations. > The strike ballot papers are returnable on July 14.
