BOMB EXPLOSION
IN PORCH OF ST. PETER'S FOUR PEOPLE INJURED (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) ROME, June 25. The explosion of a packet surreptitiously placed in the porch of St. Peter's injured four people, but caused no structural damage. WORSHIPPERS PANIC-STRICKEN. ROME, June 25. The third attempt to wreck St. Peter's in two years resulted happily in only some slight injury to the fabric, but two minutes before the explosiou 1000 pilgrims filled the gateway where the bomb was placed. Thousands inside the church were panic-stricken and stampeded to the exits. The . bomb was worked by clockwork. One man has been arrested. MARTIAL LAW IMPOSED. ROME, June 25. Martial law was imposed following the Government's search in. which 50 persons were arrested. .The searchers confiscated '250 rifles, 600 revolvers, 200 hand grenades, and one machine gun.
