VACANT ARCHBISHOPRIC
BISHOP MOWLL UNDECIDED CHENGTAU (China), June 4. Asked whether he had decided to accept his selection as Archbishop of Sydney, Dr H. W. K. Mowll, Bishop of , Western China, stated to-day that he was awaiting the concurrence of others. The bishop said he has not yet had a reply from the Archbishop of Canterbury, and the China House of Bishops has still to give its decision. “ Until then,” Dr Mowll said, “ I am not free to accept.”
