TO-DAY’S FOOTBALL

RUGBY. The Rugby football attraction at Carisbrook to-day will be the match between Kaikorai and Southern. Southern, which has not lost a game, has been playing good football during the season, and Kaikorai. by its display last Saturday, showed that it was a much improved side. It is anticipated that Southern will be fully extended. As a curtain-raiser the Fourth Grade match Kaikorai v, Southern A will be played. On the main ground at Logan Park Alhambra and Pirates will meet. Although Alhambra has been disappointii " this year, supporters of the team are confident that it can create a surprise this afternoon. The teams which will meet at Tahuna Park will be Dunedin ard University A. and on the University Oval University B and Union will play. Taieri residents should find much to interest them in the game between Zingari and Taieri on the Mosgiel ground. ASSOCIATION. The Association football senior competition has reached an interesting stage, and the meeting of Mosgiel and Maori Hill this afternoon should provide one of the best matches of the season. Neither team has so far suffered defeat, and there is therefore much at stake on the result of the game. Both clubs play bright football. excelling in combination and team work, and as there is little difference between them as far as the standard of play is concerned, the game should be keenly contested and draw a large crowd to the Caledonian Ground. In the remaining matches of the draw Northern will meet High School Old Boys at the Gardens. Technical will play Roslyn-Wakari at the Ova!.' and Mornington and Port Chalmers will travel to Seacliff and Kaitangata respectively.
