PALMERSTON NOTES
(From Our Own Correspondent.) PALMERSTON, June 14. SARAVATI CLUB. The monthly meeting of the Saravati Club was held last evening, when a very enjoyable Brahms’s programme was presented. Miss N. Guffie gave a reading on Brahms, illustrated by the following pianoforte and vocal numbers: —Pianoforte solos—“ Intermezzo ” (Miss N. Pickett), ‘‘Fugue in B Flat” (Miss E. Sheat), “Waltz in A Flat” (Miss A. Wright), ‘' Hungarian Dance in F Sharp Minor ” Miss I. Lang); vocal solos — “Oh, That I Might Retrace the Way” (Mrs Wedge), “Sunday” (Mrs Sutherland), “ Liesbestraum ” (Miss MMndoe), and Sapphic Ode” (Mrs Smith). Recitations followed by’Miss Aiken (“Giggles” and “At the River Ford”), Miss Capstick (“Temper in October”), Miss Twaddle, and Miss Moodie,
