DRAGGED FROM COURT
JUDGE BEATEN BY FARMERS AN INCIDENT IN lOWA. MONTREAL, April 27. (Received April 28, at 9 p.m.) At Lemars, lowa, a crowd of 100 farmers dragged District Judge Bradley from the courtroom, slapped him, carried him blindfolded in a motor lorry to crossroads a mile away, put a rope round his neck and choked him into partial unconsciousness, smeared his face with grease, and stole his trousers. The abduction occurred after the judge had refused to swear that he would sign no more farm mortgage foreclosures.
