VERDICT OF SUICIDE
LATE MR JUSTICE M'CARDIE EVIDENCE AT THE INQUEST. LONDON, April 28. (Received April 29, at 1.30 a.m.) “ Suicide while of unsound mind,” was the coroner’s verdict in respect to Mr Justice M’Cardie’s death. His personal clerk gave evidence that deceased had had three attacks of influenza since January 12. He disregarded entreaties to rest, but recently stayed indoors to recuperate, and complained that the temperature frustrated sleep. Gloom and melancholy replaced his habitual cheerfulness.
