MINIATURE RIFLE SHOOTING
LADIES’ NATIONAL RESERVE. At the weekly meeting of the Ladies’ National Reserve on Wednesday evening the competition for the button in a handicap event resulted in the following qualifying for the shoot off:—Mies Harrop, Miss G. Manson, Miss J. Manson, Miss N. Ko>vntree, Miss P. Rowntree, ,and M'ss Weatherston. Miss J. Manson was the ■winner of the button. Mis s P : Rowntree won the rifle badge for the highest shot off the rifle (78). v RAILWAY CLUB. The Railway Club held its opening night for the 1933 season on Wednesday last, 30 members being present, including the president (Mr F. Jones) and the following vice-presidents of the Ladies and Men’s Clubs:—Mr Pope, Mr Falconer, and Mr Johnson. , The opening shot was fired by the president, who wished the club all success in the forthcoming year. The entertainment took the form of a pairs’ shoot for small trophies presented by the club, and the winners proved to be Miss Johnson and Mr Milne and Miss Rae and Mr Jones.
