MEETING OF ASSOCIATION x The monthly meeting of the Roslyn and Kaikorai Ratepayers’ Association was held last night, Mr P. L. Ritchie presiding over a good attendance of memMr W. J. Bell pointed out that the recent widening of Highgate at Oban street had not completely removed the traffic dangers at that corner, and it was decided to ask the City Council to facilitate the widening of the road at the opposite corner, so that traffic would have a clear view of approaching trams. It was also decided to request the tramways manager to instruct motormen on the electric trams to sound their bells on approaching intersections along the lull length of Highgate. ... r , It was decided to ask the City Council to complete the widening of Mardaie street, to form a zig-zag tootway at the eastern end of Oban street, and to renew the steps on the approach to Mardaie &t Tvote of thanks to the retiring council for the attention it had given to matters brought before it by the association was carried unanimously. .
